Antonia's food provides a way to explore her life. Her curiosity grew as she left the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. But what remains throughout her menu is a singular vision towards the future while achingly recollecting the old. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. The restaurant was opened by her because of her heritage as an Italian-American. Lofaso's interpretation of old-school Italian is widely praised by critics as being one of the top restaurants for Italian cuisine in Los Angeles. The restaurant is frequently highly acclaimed by patrons of Scopa's for its food, which is authentic and unmistakably pleasing. Lofaso trained under famous chefs and mastered their methods but she never unwilling to follow her gut instincts. She quickly climbed the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago and then went on to revamp several high-profile kitchens located in Los Angeles while working closely with many high-profile celebrities. Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, a new bar in Studio City. She was able to secure an outlet in Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. Lofaso was able to finally experience the freedom of expression she had wanted. Black Market does not have any one specific direction, that's the intention. A meal could start with potato chips and peppers dill, followed by Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia's bold flavors are the basis of these daring combinations. Lofaso assessed her success in the field based on her ability to understand and remain genuine to her audience. Her memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars showed her unique personality in the cooking area. The talents of Lofaso are evident in her recurring roles as judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge and on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso worked with Penguin to release The Busy mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For Fast Delicious Home Cooked Meals in the year 2012. This book also reveals the story of her struggle while raising Xea and pursuing her studies in The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that all of her success is due to her passion cooking, and she's capable of keeping her finger in the middle of this industry by focusing on her kitchen. With the Chefletics brand, she is altering the appearance of her industry by re-designing clothing for chefs that is stylish and also serves a functionality. Her main focus is to remain true to her vision. With this in mind she created Antonia Lofaso Catering. This gives customers an incredibly personal experience.
