Anna Cook Kendrick was created in Portland, Maine, the 9th of August, 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant, and her father was a history teacher. Anna was taken care of by her older brother Michael, an actor, who later went on to become an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning to Broadway plays when she was a teenager in Deering High School in Portland. At the age of 12, she was given her first big theater role in High Society. The performance of her was rewarded with numerous awards and nominations despite the fact that she was only a tiny child. She was a part time actor in A Little Night Music from 2003 to 2004. Her film debut was at Camp in the same year, at the age of fifteen. Kendrick received nominations for her performance, and also for her performance in Rocket Science 2007 at age 15.
